Anuj Thapan, accused in the Salman Khan house firing case, died by suicide in Mumbai police custody. He hanged himself using a bedsheet in the lock-up’s toilet. Thapan, arrested from Punjab for supplying weapons, was rushed to GT Hospital but declared dead. The Mumbai Police will register an accidental death report. Earlier, shooters Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta were arrested, with Thapan and Sonu Kumar Bishnoi accused of supplying firearms. MCOCA provisions were invoked against them. A court remanded three accused in police custody until May 8.
