Pune Porsche Crash

In Pune, two doctors from Sassoon General Hospital and a mortuary staffer were arrested for switching the blood sample of a teen involved in a deadly Porsche Taycan accident. The suspects, Dr. Ajay Taware, Dr. Shrihari Halnor, and Atul Ghatkamble, were found to have tampered with evidence at the behest of the teen’s father, a city builder. The incident occurred on May 19, when the 17-year-old, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, crashed the Porsche, killing two techies. Police investigations revealed the builder hired a middleman to facilitate the switch of the teen’s blood sample to evade DUI charges. DNA testing later exposed the fraud, leading to the arrest of the trio, who were remanded in police custody until May 30. The case has expanded to include charges of criminal conspiracy and document forgery. Further investigations are ongoing to uncover additional details and identify all parties involved.
