Terrorists attacked an Indian Air Force (IAF) convoy in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, killing Corporal Vikky Pahade and injuring four other soldiers, one of them critically. Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari honored Pahade’s sacrifice. Joint forces are in charge of a search operation to find the terrorists who ran into the forests. The same group appears to be involved in previous attacks. Armed with assault rifles, the terrorists pointed their weapons towards a vehicle. Nothing has been communicated, despite attempts. The Poonch district has seen an increase in security measures. The Jammu and Kashmir Congress expressed alarm over the rise in terrorism in the area and denounced the attack.
